Pharmacy EPDM Roof System – Photos

This job was for a client who owns a pharmacy in downtown London Ontario. The client was experiencing all sorts of leaks in each of the four sections of roof in their building. We were asked to provide a quote keeping low costs in mind.

Our recommendation was a EPDM system instead of a peel and stick like you normally see in our jobs. Doing this job saves the client a ton of money as we don’t have to remove the existing roof and put all new insulation in, something that adds a lot of extra cost, but it provides a solid long lasting protection from water.

This latest project was for the owner of a 3 storey commercial/residential building who was having some issues with water leaking in through the old roof system. Our recommendation was to put sopaboard over the existing roof which would save the client a large sum of money, but still offer the same quality and water tight roof they were looking for.

Goderich Residential Project Before & After Photos

This job is a follow up to the quote we gave here.

This building is a residential building on one side, and then a commercial business, a U Brew in Goderich Ontario. Check out the video of the project here.

This building had a 2 tier roof system, this season we are going to work on the lower tier, and then perhaps in the next season we will do the higher tier. It is about a 1000sqft job, a 2 ply modified system. We are going to go over the top of the existing roof, which is good as there will be no torching or hot asphalt involved, or tearing up the old roof.

We had to remove the old flashing and vinyl siding, and then we ran a new membrane up behind the siding to make it 100% water proof. We were very happy with the results, and so was our client. You can watch their video testimonial of our services here.

Maple City Tire Roof Project Photos

We quoted a repair job on a 4 bay mechanic’s shop in East London (check out that video here).

This job was a big one, but we were up for the challenge! We removed the existing roof, and installed a two play modified roofing system.

Bayfield Cottage New Flat Roof Installation Photos

This project was for a cottage in Bayfield Ontario. The owner, who uses this for around two months out of the year came in and found his entire building flooded. The roof was taking in water in several areas, and we were called in to replace the roof.

We came and found this roof was way past it’s life cycle. It was a 30′ x 30′ modified roof which was cracked and delaminated, the membrane was coming off. There had been previous attempts to repair the roof without success. Legacy Flat Roofing & Sheet Metal to the rescue!

Midas Building: New EPDM Flat Roof Installation

A few weeks ago on our video found HERE we quoted a brand new roof, and the client agreed to our quote.

This was a 3-4 day project, around 40 squares, in the East End of London, and for this project we wanted to try a brand new system called EPDM, which is a Single Ply Membrane.

To get to the new roof installation we had to remove the existing fibreboard and felt by cutting it out, and also a ton of pooled water! Take a look at the job though, we know that the client is going to be happy. New roof, new flashing, new lease on life for a flat roof that was in poor condition.

Church Re-Roof: Before & After Photos

Our latest client is a congregation that just purchased a building in the North End of London, who were looking to get their flat roof leaks fixed before they went inside to finish the interior work during the winter.

This job involved putting a new seal around a gondola that the congregation had put in, their request to us was to make it leak proof. We put in a half inch fibreboard, and tied it into the existing roof so there wouldn’t be any further leaks. We finished it off with hot asphalt for water proof barrier and seal.

There was also a roof expansion joint that needed to be resealed as there were leaks all along the expansion. We took out the gravel, primed the area and installed a new cap sheet.

Leaking Skylight Project

This client owned a nice home in North London, but was experiencing some leaking through his skylight, situated on the flat roof section of his home. He has some repairs completed in the past however they were not successful in fixing the leaking roof issue. He asked Legacy Flat Roofing & Sheet Metal for a quote, he was happy with what we said we would deliver and so we completed the job last week.

We removed the old shingles, placed down a sopaboard and membrane, being careful to place the membrane all around the skylight detail, making a 100% water tight seal so there would be no more issues. We also removed some shingles and put a base sheet underneath the shingles, put new shingles down so that there would be no leaks at all in this section.

Roof Leak Tear Out and Repair

This job was for a client in the East End of London Ontario, in a light industrial complex. They were having some issues with water coming into a section of their flat roof. Our recommendation was to have it replaced so that it would no longer take in water and be a risk to their business.

This is a restaurant downtown London, Ontario. I will be repairing numerous flat roof areas. The client and I have been discussing several different repair/replace/recover options. Take a look at the work that needs to be done.
